Where the Wild Things Are and The Giving Tree have always been up there on my favorite-childhood-books-list. I am so stoked for this movie to come out. I don't know if many of you have read the book, but there is nothing much to it. There's only about 10 pages, and only about half the book has words in it. A good chunk of the book just has illustrations of Max playing with the Wild Things, which leaves so much room for a child's imagination to build upon the story. I'm really excited to see how Spike Jonze transforms this simple book into a mystical movie. All is Love is a single from the movie soundtrack. The playfulness and energy of the song really makes me wish I can just be a kid again and curl up in bed with all my Shel Silverstein.
